SDK update?
Hi @dave,
I saw that you are working on a new dubbadhar theme (https://github.com/ModBros/mobro-theme-dubbadhar2)
And I also saw that you are using a mobro npm package here: https://github.com/ModBros/mobro-theme-dubbadhar2/blob/master/src/theme.jsx#L2
How ready is this package? I could not find it on npm.
I'd love to beta test it.
I was trying to build my own theme with react and next.js but could not find an easy way to get the data from the websocket.
A react component using react context or a react hook would be awesome for this :)
Hi @Nils
thanks for your curiousity! Yes there is some sort of package, its not on npm tho, since the app will ship the package itself, so that the versions correlate.
It's the theme-sdk-2 branch in the mobro-theme-sdk repository. We will soon publish this SDK with all its features in the next version of Mobro.
It is a small framework using React that you, as a developer, can hook into to create themes, widgets and so on. Once the documentation is ready and covers everything, you should be good to go :) Stay tuned!
Hi @Nils
we just released the first draft of our SDK documentation. Patreons currently already have access to the version using the SDK and play around with it, so we can get some feedback on it. Anyways heres the link for the docs: https://developers.mod-bros.com/
Hi @Dave, im trying to run the SDK on my local environment, but still failing after running “npm install”.
Is there a particular Node version i should be running ? I have tried these versions so far without any luck, 20.5.0, 18.17.0, 5.4.1, 5.2.0, 0.12.18.
If I remember correctly I used v14 back then. But we rewrote the SDK now with our widget packs approach anyway. That SDK doesn't have a documentation yet but hopefully we can release that soon enough, then you could build your own widget pack.

Hey @HBM, we just released the new developer docs for the widget packs here https://developer.mobro.app/widgetpacks/intro, feel free to try them out and reach out to us if you find something that's missing or maybe needs more details.
